Yes
Asked about postage costs for 2 small parcels and was asked

What's in them
Did I want extra stamps
Did I want any cash
Did I want a mobile phone top up
Have I got a credit card with a balance on it
Am I going on holiday soon
Do I drive
When's my home insurance due

I asked her to stop harassing me at which point she said she wasn't. I explained that all I wanted to do was post my flipping items and that I feel harassed so that's good enough for me. Is it me being a grumpy git or justified?

Justified.

If I go to screwfix the buggers want my postcode.Sorry but i`m paying cash, so no,you cannot have my postcode.

Gets on my bloody nerves.

Asda sometimes do that. I just give them their own postcode.

One particular woman in my post office does exactly the same, none of the others do, they may ask one extra thing like life insurance but nothing more. I just say I have life insurance/car insurance or whatever it is with them already they leave me alone pretty much after that.

It's all about "upselling" these days.

One of my local pubs has recently changed owners. I went in the other week for a pint and the new landlady was trying her best to sell us a meal. "No thanks love, eatin's cheatin."

What winds me up in going into the bank and being greeted with "SORRY TO HAVE KEPT YOU WAITING" the problem is straight to counter and NO waiting...

I understand they have their new regulations to check whats in a parcel but Royal Mail don't use any sense.

I buy my postage online and just take parcel into post office for receipt - to buy the postage I have to confirm online that there are no prohibited items inside - so why ask again at the counter ?

Got seriously p****d off when a friend dropped a parcel into them for me and because they didn't know the contents they refused to take the parcel even though prepaid.

Complaint duly posted off and response awaited.

I bet it was a main post office, they're still owned by Royal Mail so all the staff have to sell R M Products

Sub post offices are not owned by royal mail

Ever purchased online with Vistaprint? Now that's up selling to the extreme.

It took me about 10 minutes to get throughs their checkout dodging all the opt ins, opt outs, add ons, subscriptions and everything else.

Never been back.

A quick, "Lo siento, no hablo mucho ingles!" and then look blank works, or evil death stare....
