This thread had slipped my mind tbh, good to see it back.

I've not bought new ones yet, I've made do with what I've had, despite thier leak. The rivers have been low and the water rarely high enough to reach the leaky parts. They'd probably overflow right now though, the rivers are a bit deeper.

Mine are looking tired now though, even the camoflage covering is wearing through, not what I'd expected from quite an expensive pair.

I really should look at getting new ones now.

I bought a pair of neoprene wellies from Amazon, £39 and seem ok, big but is they are far too hot to wear ATM, probably be good when standing around when it’s freezing

I can't wear normal wellies, end up with cramp
I've been wearing similar to those for years, present ones are Toggi and probably nearly 10 years old now
As long as you look after them, clean the mud off and give them a a rewaxing with leather proofing wax
they stay waterproof and comfy, I spend a lot of time in wet, muddy places at this time of year and they have never let me down yet

I have found the Toggi (equestrian wear) website and can't see anything too close to the Crispi design, can you recall the 'model' that you have?

If I remember mine were originally that sort of price, but I bought them in a half price sale in our local SCATS, as it was, now Mole Valley Farmers
To me they were worth every penny, I even wore them in really bad weather on the post delivery, that meant driving in them

As noted by the thread discussion, it started about wellies but unless wading in streams they can, or so it seems, be a bit Marmite by make and in use & longevity???

Whereas the knee(?) height boots you use may not be designed for wading but in principle are designed for outdoor, all weather usage and as you have pointed out, they last

I've been through, floods and very deep mud, they are the same height as wellies with the added bonus of a draw string at the top
