I was walking past Calumet off Oxford Street today. They had a used 14-24 in the window for £949...thought that was a pretty good price from a dealer. Includes three months warranty. Sorely tempted but have other priorities!

The lady in the shop said it had come from the MoD and sounded like they may have more at other branches. Nice to know our finest get kitted out with such a great lens! I wonder if they are used in reconnaissance or some such?
 
the one they had in drummond street was 1050. Lots of good second hand kit at drummond street (way bigger than soho branch), nikon 70-200's for £799.

I certainly wouldn't want an ex-MOD lens tbh!

Doubt recon, more like PR. We used to have a combat camera team member on the forum until his, uh... sense of humour wasn't appreciated ;)
