I have been working in a very busy office for 15 years but really haven't liked it much, so over the past few months I have been searching for another job.
One popped up that took my fancy, so I applied and have been talking to the owner of the business for a while and I applied for the position as I really do fancy a career change, today I visited the place and really loved what I saw
and it couldn't be further from office work than being an astronaut would be.
The job is as a pig breeder in a very modern breeding unit, I was thinking the smell would put me off, but really the fans take care of the smells and everything is automated so no real mucking out, the main work is the welfare of the piglets and sows
so I was very impressed with how clean it is in this kind of environment, I always thought it would be filthy in a breeding farm, but I am surprised.
So today I accepted the job offer which is also more money than I am currently earning, better prospects and less hours, I cant wait to start in a couple of weeks now.
