Hello!

I'm Amy, I've been lurking for a wee while but decided to come out of the darkness and introduce myself today - just purchased a DSLR today, might have something to do with it :D

As for my skill level, I'm not a total beginner but I'm fairly useless. I had a bridge camera but I was in John Lewis today and got tempted by a Sony A290 so I now own one :)

I'm hoping to pick up some tips from this forum and hopefully meet some people along the way.
 
Thanks! I'm often in Durham/Newcastle area (I'm originally from there). Some cracking places to photograph! :)
