Can you explain what this used condition on your website refers to please, Item Condition : MO

I was looking at a used Drone when I looked the description "MO"it is showing as "Video Camera appears as new, the camcorder is free of cosmetic marks and scratches." That description doesn't seem to fit the item and itsnot very clear to me?
 
The MO means Mail Order Returns.

The item has been purchased and returned as unwanted. The item will have been opened and may show light signs of use. The item may also be missing a component or accessories, but this will be noted in the items description. The original packaging may also be missing or damaged.

I’m very much appreciating the new location - I don’t drive, so the only way I could get to the old location was by cab.

And all the more grateful as I stopped by yesterday afternoon for a massive advice session about Canon mirrorlesses, intending to go to John Lewis to play with some bodies - and they’ve replaced most of their camera displays with empty spaces and monitors. Hmph.
 
Don't like the new system of assessing the condition of used equipment. Gone from being very specific descriptions to more general observations, such as
'This Lens is in mint condition and will show only 1 or 2 very light marks such as very light wear to the lens mount or a small mark on the barrel,' and
'This Camera will show very light use and will exhibit only a few light marks such as light wear and shining to the lens mount, screen and base'.

We've recently updated our used product pages to improve clarity and efficiency. To address frequent customer enquiries, we've added sections detailing included and missing accessories. Additionally, we've standardised product descriptions to streamline the trade-in process for our retail staff. While maintaining a consistent format, we still allow for specific notes, like scratches or defects, to be added to individual product listings. Still doesn't make sense to me I'm afraid. Ignoring that one 'great example', a buyer won't really know the condition of an item until it is received. Others may disagree. The system will, of course, 'streamline the system for retail staff'.

After a little hiccup with Wex P/X team having received my goods today then sent a notification I had 7 days left to confirm quote

Now Wex having confirmed receipt and will inspect within 3 to 5 days which is fair enough. Also they have put on hold a Panasonic G9ii for me and want full payment within 5 days which actually is no problem.
However I would like confirmation first of the P/x offer before I go ahead with the purchase. This is because Wex will be hold onto the amount offered with myself adding the difference

To me it appears a lack of communication between depts, one saying will inspect in 3-5 days and the other only holding goods for 5 days. Maybe this holding of goods should be extended to something like 7+ days. But what would I know only having owned and built up highly successful business in a different line of work


I only have 5 days to order a panasonic G9ii that is on hold for 5 days. but an email received Ref CSH********* saying it is not currently in stock so how can it be held in stock.
Again very confused

Wanted to make a couple of purchases today and could have used WEX or LCE, which are local to me here in Bristol or Amazon for next day delivery.
I chose WEX for its support of TP and had a good experience. One item available in store and the other upgraded to next day delivery, which was appreciated.
 
Update
after several emails and phone calls at last a Panasonic G9ii is on its way to me:). And the best part of it is it has cost me nothing, the P/x of my Nikon gear and camcorder has paid for it with still money left over. so when things cool down a bit The G9 will go and a pana camcorder will replace it ???? .:thinking: as I do love having a camcorder as well.
Getting photographic equipment that is lighter to carry has been a hard choice, after all having carefully looked after it for so many yearsl like loosing part of ones life

@MatWex Right, this is doing my head in and Im thinking of giving up to be honest at this point.

Im thinking about getting some Kase filters and you have a black friday deal on and ye, carmarthen cameras and park cameras are all cheaper than kase directly.

BUT, all your websites mix up the words "revolution" with "wolverine" filters either in your description or the titles. Specifically I am looking at the pro kit here on your site

I want the revolution ones only as they are slightly thinner, not wolverine which as slightly thicker and a greater risk of vignette in certain situations.

Doesn't look like anyone is monitoring this now but anyway, the 'Used' section of their website needs attention.
Made several attempts to buy different pieces of equipment yesterday ... went through to actual payment processing acceptance, only to then be told that the item(s) weren't available! :thinking: Finally got what I wanted elsewhere.
 
I thought WEX offered a 12-month warranty on used equipment but checking the website today it shows a large sign saying it's 6-months.
A change - or is it me?

It does indeed seem to have changed to 6 months, given their high and often unrealistic prices I see no reason to deal with them these days on used gear.

Cameraworld have closed their Chelmsford branch and for sometime have had very low stock often requiring an order to be places and paid for on new items then they order it in from the manufacturer, huge red flag for me, if I wanted to do that i'd go grey and save a fortune.

I can see 2 or 3 retailers going under in the next couple of years. I think LCE probably have the most sustainable business model as it's a Euronics type set up and generally their service is excellent.

I can confirm that we do offer a 12 month warranty on used equipment, and our website has been updated to reflect this.
 
Until recently Wex offered a 45 day return policy.

Now 30 days like everyone else.
 
I don't believe I've ever been to a WEX before :) There's one in Leeds?
I'll be upgrading my camera soon (coming from a D5300) and wouldn't mind playing with a few (Z8, a7cr). do you have dummy models in stock?

They have a nice showroom (out of town) with real cameras to physically hold, etc. I rang them in advance to make sure that they had the models that my step-daughter wa sinterested in before we went, in fact Leeds at the time had better showroom stock than my local WEX (Manchester), so we made the trip over there.

She purchased (and the camera was in stock, so she took it away), a couple of items we wanted were not in the store stock, but they arrived next day by post.

had a quick scan through that and what it does say is
Offered in association with our sister company Fixation, the UK’s leading photographic repair specialist, the Wex Warranty means we will pick up the bill to fix any issues that arise within the specified terms

not very clear and no mention of how long the warranty is for
when i picked the lens up from WEX the guy behind the counter did say something about warranty but was vague
the receipt says nothing about warranty in fact the receipt doesn't even tell you what was repaired
