Weird email I just received

Yeah you get nutters all over the place, not just on the internet.

We had our 20 week baby scan Friday, I was really peeved we couldn't tell what the sex of the baby was due to its position so was in a real bad mood. Driving from the hospital to McDonalds for a shake and a taxi goes passed. Hanging out of the window is some guy flipping us the bird.

He gets a hand gesture back, at which point he grins and sticks his thumb up and goes back inside. Traffic lights on red, taxi in front and his door opens about 3 inches. With the mood I was it wouldn't have ended well for him but must of changed his mind.

There was no reason to drive passed swearing at us, he was just an idiot!

Seriously? You possibly need to take a chill pill. You don't react, nothing happens, you don't get wound up. Any point in a road rage incident because you couldn't tell the sex of your unborn baby?
Just have a little chuckle to yourself about the uncouth manners of the individual and save yourself any stress.

I had an e-mail sent to my flickr e-mail account from someone demanding the "EXACT" map coordinates of all my photographs "ASAP". As I've got 4,800 pics on flickr he's got no chance.

How about - Earth, The Orion-Cygnus Arm, Local Spur, right off The Sagittarius Arm, Milky Way, about 25,000 light years (give or take 1,000) from centre

Great tip here, needed to know how to do this in the past.

- thanks

I ahve had equaly bad and even more nasty PM messages sent on TP from total starngers i havent even spoken to on TP .. The sender of such emails or PMs obviously think it will ahve some terrible effect when you read it.. yeagh right :)

surprisingly no one has ever sent me such a thing lol

or if feeling less gentlemanly sign the email address up to a few adult websites mailing lists

I second your thinking - sign the email address up to some adult sites or something amusing.

Or just send him large files to clog up his inbox hehe

type the email address in facebook and see if owt comes up thats what i always do when i get a weird email

I have had something similar, it did affect me, maybe I am sensitive and I found it hard to 'move on', i had to hunt them down, which I did as they used an email address a friend knew them by. Ended up it was one of my (distant) family members with a grudge. Soon sorted that :-)

Did you kill him / her

Allegedly:) some people have been known to submit I.P. addresses and email addresses to Russian hacking sites. Not that I condone this of course.

I think thats probably a sure-fire way of getting hacked yourself as well though.

I agree more with the idea of signing him up to spam sites

*checks flicker for any incriminating HDR
*re-checks enemies list

Nope not me.
If they are English and used the word "garbage" then they are right on that list. In my best red pen.

No, It just allowed me to go and see them and talk it out. I'm strictly non violent, even though I am 6' and 20 stone :-)

good grief never an IP address.. emails are unique.. IP address are most certainly not

eh?! why do all of you assume the email address is the sender's.... faking the email address is the easiest thing in the world - you'd probably be signing some innocent random person up - but faking the IP address takes considerably more knowledge, and routing email through a hijacked computer even more...

but faking the IP address takes considerably more knowledge,..

two words for you - proxy server , it takes about as much knowlege as using google to search for a proxy and then setting up an account with say ' hide my ass' or one of the other numerous offers out there - a slighlty brighter than average rhesus monkey could do it

(incidentally i know this because i use HMA to log on to american websites that are limited to american only servers - usually to watch TV shows not yet released over here, sport events and so forth)
