weights, what weight?

Thinking of getting some weights for stands and was wondering what to get. I use speedlights and softboxes but do have a 60" umbrella. Im guessing an elephant wouldnt stop that blowing away but I was looking around for some anyway.

What do people suggest?

I was thinking about getting some cheap dive weights...

Have a look at sandbags on fleebay. Failing that, make your own.

Or use wrist or ankle weights that the exercise types use.

I use dive weights, lead shot bags that give you the max weight in the smallest size and stick them on the bottom rails of the stand. They drape over quite nicely and look tidy too.

I use my dive weights too. The two kilo shot bags are probably the most useful.

Another vote for dive weights, cause I had them anyway but they work great and will hold a 60" umbrella as long as its not stupid windy.
