I dont consider the diet I embarked upon as BS, thats if you were referring to my post that is. For me, BS diets are YO YO diets that make people fat thin fat thin, they use every diet plan available to man, lose the weight by shocking their systems then re gain it and so on and so forth. The diet I did involved taking out meat and dairy, I ate buckets of vegetables, fruit, pulses, soya, drank plenty of water eliminated caffeine as Ii cant drink coffee without milk, the only sugar I took was whatcame in a piece of fruit naturally. I lost the weight I needed to, and also learned a few things along the way about healthy eating.
Hello Emma
No my mini rant was not directed at your post and reading back now I can understand why you thought it was - sorry about that.
I actually applaude what you say and did.
My main gripe with this whole thing is that people grasp at straws just to lose some weight and lose sight of the big picture... LONG TERM HEALTH.
Here I go again:bonk::bonk::bonk:
No offence meant, hope you understand.
The thing that absolutely gets me going is the situation we are experiencing with local very good friends who have recently experienced severe dietary (in the long term sense) complications - potentially life-threatening.
They refuse to take any advice and they are headed for serious trouble on an ugly collision course.
O.K. Rant over and here's me trying to get on topic again:bonk:
