The name Oscar Knox probably won't mean a lot to those of you outside Northern Ireland, but many of us over here were following his fight against a horrible form of childhood cancer.
Yesterday, at the tender age of 5, he lost his battle. I'm not usually one for being emotional, but having a son the same age, this has really hit me hard, and I have genuinely have felt myself tearing up a few times today, including now as I write this.

I don't mean to bring anyone down, but stuff like this makes you stop and think, and really puts life into perspective.
I know I will not be the only parent here who will be hugging their children extra hard tonight.
