got mine now and its sweet. Really light and the perfect book reading and movie watiching size in bed

chuffed!

Just got mine now too. Using it now and the size is perfect for what I want! :D

But how do you turn off the damn autocorrect?!?! Lol

Just played a few games on it. The form factor is much better for the joypad control type game.

Any comments from the members that have one? Can't wait to get mine.

Joe can you remember what courier delivered it? Can't wait to get my iPad on Thursday.

I got mine yesterday. Ordered from John Lewis online as it means automatic 2 year warranty and you can pick up from a Waitrose rather than having a courier bounce it around.

Form factor is roughly an A5 desk diary. Week to a page without case. Day to a page with case.

Screen isn't up to oled types (my N8 is marginally clearer) but it is ok.

Had a quick play in the Apple shop yesterday. Pleasantly surprised with the size. Can definitely see where it fits in being quite a bit more portable than the normal iPad. Easy to drop into a handbag/camera bag etc so it's always on you. Still think if I was buying another (sold my iPad 2 last year), I'd get a full sized one though.

I had a look at it on Friday, and seeing as I have an iPhone and wanted a tablet for 'sofa browsing' I found its size a little pointless.

opted for the full size in the end

Still waiting for mine

Ordered it from the apple website a couple of days after the official launch as I tried to get one in store with no luck.

Now although dispatched, it appears to be stuck at Pudong International airport and has been for 3 days according to the TNT online tracking

Not even sure I want one now!

It arrived last night at 9pm ! TNT really are rubbish, took them 10 days to get it from shanghai after it was stuck there for 7 of those days!

Impressions of the mini are good, screen looks crisp even though it is not retina display - probably due to the size and same resolution as the iPad 2.

Build is just as good and it feels nice and responsive.

Only issue I can see is that I'm not sure I'm going to use it - i have a full size iPad for armchair browsing and the mini still won't fit in a coat pocket. Had a kindle and sold it due to not reading books much, I doubt I'll bother with that on the mini either even though the size and weight looks perfect. Even if I do take it out of the house, it is crippled as it doesn't have 3G so limited to stuff on the device - cant be bothered with tethering as its a faff.

Oh we'll, at least I can say I've had one - will probably sell it :bang:

My iPad is 3G, but my wife has a wifi only model. On holidays or city breaks she tethers to her iPhone and it seems to work fine. Sorry you are disappointed.

If I didn't have a full sized iPad I could see the point - the wife has grabbed it now anyway, so maybe she'll decide she wants to keep it - after never showing any interest in my iFetishes in the past

Just a little issue then.

:bonk:

Did you not think about that before you bought it?
