Hi all,

I've a friend looking at getting married in a couple of years and she's asked me if I know any nice venues around the Stoke/Staffs area.

Now, I mainly shoot Shropshire/Shrewsbury area and the couple of places I have photographed here have been pretty average.

So, any suggestions? Nothing massively expensive but something that from a photographers point of view you would like to photograph :)

Thanks

I think Keele Hall does weddings. During the summer you don't have the students getting in the way either. Back of it with the formal gardens is quite a looker.

There's also a few mansion houses like Capesthorne Hall (that's Cheshire but not far into cheshire) http://www.capesthorne.com/

There's also these ones tucked away in Staffs: http://www.consallgardens.co.uk/

I haven't checked the prices as massively expensive is a very vague notion ;)

Thanks :)

Yeah, I suggested Rowton castle as I got married there but its about £8k for the day now and that was well out of budget.

I'm guessing up to £4k at a push, as its 2 years ago they can save :p

This place might be better then:

It's in Cheshire but the village is nice looking and the food there is brilliant when you visit the normal eatery. I'd assume the wedding food is up to scratch. There is an arboretum a short walk from the pub and it's next door to the village church. Had lunch there quite a few times. Always great.

I'd imagine their prices aren't in the £8k bracket either.
