• Travel light with a small rucksack as camera's/flash are usually hanging around your neck?

• Large shoulder bag?

• Large backpack?

• Bloody great rigid case as you use it to stand on too?

Or something else...

bloody great case that stays in the car or hidden in the venue somewhere, and a big shoulder bag to carry selection of lenses round so I don't drop them - I added this second part after I dropped my 28-300 and 16-35 L lenses on the same day!!!!

the bag is better than a rucksack as I can just drop lenses in without any fuss and get them out in a quiet church

I use two bodies. One with 24-105 & one with 70-200 both with flash so dont carry a bag. Backup stuff is left in the car.

Am currently listing all the gear I want to get hold of before I consider doing solo weddings. One of the items is a ThinkTank Airport Security case. Expensive but huge, has roller wheels and build in security cable so you can attach it to something.

Most important thing is it will take all the kit I want and I can leave it hidden in the back of the car between venues with the backup/extra kit.

Huge Lowepro roller bag hidden in the church / venue somewhere. I shoot with two cameras and decant a couple of lenses into a Shootsac that I have on most of the day.

I've a Lowepro Computrekker AW for the laptop, heavier or less used lenses, external HD's, backup camera, spare shirt, etc. It tends to stay in the car until I get to the hotel.

Then one of the larger Crumpler shoulder bags for general walking around. Fits 2 cameras, 4 lenses and 2 reflectors. If I need to be even more discreet, I've got a smaller black shoulder satchel that'll fit a few lenses in without looking huge :)

Billingham 550 model (i think) but my assistant usually spends most of the day picking it up behind me

Dave:thumbs:

we lug our gear around in the computrekker, which is mostly emptied when we get to the venue. I have the 5d + 70-200 hanging from me neck, with a shoulder bag (crumpler type, but smaller) to carry some spare lenses. I also have the 350d with a lens attached to it, but i mainly use the wide angle for creative stuff. Mrs also has a similar bag with the 40d + tamron 17-50mm and nifty fifty. Its tiring carrying all that, but this way we have ourselves covered pretty well.

Shootsac, and a Billingham with backups and various bits of kit I rarely use tucked away.
