This guy certainly has an unusual style and I must admit I find the first image with the flames very unsettling. As to the rest of his work I can see the artistic merit but cannot help but think there would be a very limited market, that is if they are genuine wedding images.

Some of that stuff is odd, but if you look at the "recent" stuff a lot of it is really good wedding stuff.

JMC is a very creative guy - the burning bride and bride in the lake were the first ever 'trash the dress' photos

I really like most of them. Not as keen on the fire and lake ones. Not sure about setting fire to your wife on the day but afterwards perhaps!

I been married 34 years, anyone got any matches? (only joking)

I like all of them even the fire and lake ones. I also took a look at the wife's (?) blog some really good pics there as well.

you can imagine showing your relatives who missed the wedding

'here's my wife on fire.. here's my wife drowning.. here she is after trying to shoot herself but missing and hitting an old truck..... ahh here she is about to jump off a building'

I like 'em. Very creative and well executed.

Full marks to the subjects for being willing :)

Interesting. Although they look like models/studio set-up-ish style.

They are all his real brides, but not necessarily shot on the wedding day

interesting shots and i like them. i know non of our clients would buy any of em tho.
mmmm. i think i have a pair of goggles somewhere.perhaps i could get the bride to wear the wifes custom painted lid (helmet to the unknowing).
were doing a big hall wedding later this week , and theres a big fountain there. mmm.

Absolutely bl**dy fantastic.
Dean:)

The trash the dress shots are normally a 2nd shoot after the honeymoon, couple more sites:

http://trashthedress.wordpress.com/
is the main USA site and I also found this:

from the UK.

I was talking about this to the folks in my local bridal shop recently and they said it's been a topic on some of the bridal forums of late. I'm still looking for a willing victim :)

The fire & lake shots are normally the kind of images Im drawn to but, somehow for your average girl in a white dress ...
imho, it just looks wrong!

Love the other shots & if I was ever crazy enough to buy the white dress ... theyre the kind of pics Id want in my album!

We were going to do something at the bridal shoot I did last month - I was offered access to some old stock from the bridal shop but we only had a limited time slot for the shoot. I can still use the dresses if I want and I've got a few ideas simmering but I've got another project in the pipeline first...

I think they're bloody fantastic! :D

:agree:
