The girlfriend and I are looking to tie the know in the next year or two but are looking to do it a little different and am wondering if any toggers on here have seen something similar.
Neither of us are religious in any sense and are looking to get married in a hall rather than a church, also rather than having a priest or a registrar we would like our friend to marry us as he has known us both for years and it would mean a hell of a lot more than a stranger doing it. I know an individual can be ordained to marry a couple in the US and you can't do it over here. My question is whether my friend can do all the stuff at the front of the church with a registrar on hand to do the official signing etc.
Has anyone seen this before or know if it is possible?
