I'm not sure yet whether I will get into wedding photography - but I have agreed to shoot a wedding for a friend.

I want to be as prepared as I can, so I'm considering the option of a course.

Is it worth it? I'm in the hampshire/surrey area - can anyone make a recommendation?

I've just bought a few books too - so I'm open to learning other ways.

Thanks, Dan

Although I've never spoken to or met the guy, I'd recommend having a look at Sean Gannon who is a wedding photographer based in Surrey. I follow his work on Facebook and he is an excellent photographer who also offers training courses and workshops. If I was a lot closer then I'd be very tempted to do his 3 day course.

Have a look here:

This one costs £395 which is quite a big investment for someone that's only committed to shooting 1 wedding for a friend but if you are seriously thinking about getting in to wedding photography then it would be money very well spent.

Thanks, this does sound good. Even if I don't go into Wedding Photography, I have enjoyed following the portraiture route and what I learn here could still be very applicable.
