(if this is in the wrong forum please feel free to move it)

As you say there are lots. You can find some reviews already on this site, and lots of reviews on amazon. Have a search for them to see the reviews already written, and see which ones are suitable.

This is just a list cut and pasted from my notes, but might help you when searching:

Mastering Digital Wedding Photography, James Karney
Digital Wedding Photography, Glen Johnson
The Art of Digital Wedding Photography, Bambi Cantrell & Skip Cohen
Professional Techniques for the Wedding Photographer, George Schaub
Wedding Photography: Getting Perfect Results Every Time, Ian Gee
The Complete Guide to Professional Wedding Photography: Creating a More Profitable and Fulfilling Business, Damien Lovegrove
Existing Light Techniques for Wedding and Portrait Photography, Bill Hurter
Contemporary Wedding Photography, Julie Oswin & Steve Walton
Wedding Photography: The Complete Guide, Mark Cleghorn

yeah i tried having a dig around but the search function on this site seems to be a bit pants so have had to make this thread :)

have you read any of those books yourself that you could reccomend? :)

I've started on Contemporary WP and The Complete Guide to Pro WP and I'm learning from both, but I don't have anything else to compare them to. I've got so much reading and practicing to do, and I'll probably end up with some more books, just so I can read something when not sat in front of the pc.

Are you thinking of a career, or doing a friends wedding or what?

career wise, i think i'm reasonably clued up to be honest but £15ish per book if it's going to give me just that little bit extra information i might not be aware of is nothing to be sniffed at :)

Damien Lovegrove, just bought it and I like it so much I bought a second for a mate.

Under £15 on amazon. :)

What kind of wedding photographer do you want to be? Different books are aimed at different styles of photography, so it will be useful to know what you are ultimately aiming for your work to be like so that we can recommend books that will help you get there.

Not so much a book, but online training...

Mark Cleghorn has wedding info on his site... phototraining4u.com
