What equipment do you have and what do you usually have hanging around your neck at a wedding.

I use the:

5d and 40d with 24-70 f2.8L, 70-200 F2.8L, 50mm f1.4 and tokina 11-16mm f2.8 with 2 speedlite 580exII.

I usually have my 5d with 24-70 and 40d with 70-200

Yeah...

I have two Nikon D700's with mb-d10 grips, 2 SB900 speedlights, a 24-70 2.8 on one and a 70-200 2.8 on the other.

Sometimes I take the 14-24 if the wedding has a large attendance.

Also a carrier bag with some shades and stuff in it :]

Gary I use pretty much the same as you. I havn't invested in a second body yet, but I never go to a wedding without at least 2 cameras. I borrow a friends 40D or 30D
5D with 24-70, back-up with 70-200.

But a question I wanted to ask. Do you find you use your 50mm F1.4 at weddings often?

Just out of interest Gary, how do you get on with the 5D - does it cope in dark and dingy rooms or do you automatically crack out the flash as soon as the ISO creeps up in those situations?

To be honest I often shoot at 1600 iso inside no flash, noise isn't that bad, but the images sometimes aren't as clean, crisp and good colours as I am sometimes hoping.

Yeah I know what you mean with that.. I find that the high ISOs are usable, but it does lose a bit of that 'classic' 5D look. Really don't like using flash though so it'd be nice to have another stop of ISO. The biggest drawback for me is the AF - the outer focus points just can't lock on in low light.

I'm considering a Nikon D700 and using the 5D as back-up for now, as much as I love the 5D. Interesting to hear how someone else finds it anyway, cheers. :)

For me I would love to know if the MKII would solve our problems or not?!
