I am in the process of planning my wedding and i'm at that point where I need to find a photographer. If you are or know of any wedding photographers around the West Midlands area then either post a link to your website here or PM me your details.

I've had a look on the internet and seen a few at wedding fayres but thought I would put it out here to open my options up abit!

What do you mean by 'a wedding photographer'? Each photographer is different to the next one. What style are you after, what finished products, what kind of wedding will you be having and at which venue - what budget do you have? And when is it?

Looking for mostly candid shots, or a different take on formal shots. I will just know which style I like when I see it, I'm open to anything really, as long as i like it!

It's a civil ceremony at a hotel in Solihull in May 2013, and the budget is dependant on how much I like the photographers work ;)

I think you're being a bit harsh?

I think the OP's asked a fairly straightforward question.......she's only looking for names at this point and perhaps doesn't want to discuss details of the big day on the internet.
 
Not harsh at all - just trying to narrow down what Briony is after so that the respondent's time, and her time, isn't wasted in the process. Her initial statement was too generalized for anyone to answer properly. There's no point getting input from full-time more expensive pros if all she's after is brief coverage on a small budget.

From her answer to my first question it would also be worth establishing if Briony is after an established pro or a keen amateur/somebody wanting to progress a portfolio?

I don't mind answering her questions although you're right, i'm not going to disclose the venue and my budget on a public forum! :bonk:
 
Well, budget is pretty important, a guide or range needs to be available to whoever gets in touch with you so you'll need to at least have some idea in your head.

Sorry you found my questions;answer unhelpful, but they are things any prospective wedding photographer will immediately ask!

It may be better for you to do a Google search of wedding photographers in your locality - you'll get loads of results coming up so think about how you can refine your search criteria, which may include the name of your venue, or words like 'modern' or 'contemporary' etc etc. That way you'll quickly get a really good idea of what's available and at what cost.

I have searched a lot on the internet, but it's just the same ones coming up over and over again, so hence why I posted on here to see if I could find someone who's not so publicly known on the internet.

Like I said, i'm pretty open to any style or experience. for me as long as the quality of the pictures are good and I like them and the price reflects this then that is what i'm looking for. Any responses I get I will look and decide and to be honest so far I've had a good response via PM :)
