Myself and the finacee seen a wedding cr this morning and commented that the bride must have picked August for the sunny wether. How dissapointing it must be :(
 
as wedding togs ,weve been exceptionaly lucky with the weather this year.
always managed to get the outside shots so far. sometimes between showers. once between snowstorms. (february at newstead abbey).
its a fact of life that you have to be prepared to do wedding shoots indoors in this country.
ok , you can get your assistant ( me ) to stand there with an umbrella, but try getting the guests and the b and g outside in the rain. no chance. weve always got alternatives in mind if the weather does turn carp.
but why do some folks pick such ugly venues for their reception.:shrug:
even so , its still a fun job.

I had a contender for Britain's luckiest couple recently, we had 3 venues to shoot at - it peed it down on every car journey, and while they were inside - but not once when they needed to get out of, or into, the car !!! Jammy sods :lol:

Re crappy venues - I've just got a query this morning for a 'Cannon Hall' near here, lovely building - until you go inside where you CAN shoot the actual Wedding

A D3 on 24,600 ISO and an f1.2 would struggle it's that damn dark in there !!!!! Grrrrr

take 2 umbrellas (1 a big fishing size one if you can get it)

one for the bride groom, and one to cover you.

Can get some very memorable shots with a rainy background.
