Wedding Band Recommendions

Hi,

We are getting married in August, we've just about everything sorted but we're really struggling to find a band to play at our reception for under £1000.

Were not looking for anything special, just a decent covers band that can get the party rocking. However, all the bands which we like the sound of are asking for £1400 to £1600, to play 2 one hour sets. Which to be honest, we think is a little too much.

Just wondering if any fellow TP's could recommend any good wedding bands which are reasonably priced?

The Three Madonnas are a band local to here but they travel all over. I've seen them play many times and always enjoy their set, they have played at about four weddings I have covered after my recommendation to the bride and groom and always get the place rocking. Their Myspace page doesn't do them justice though but they are excellent musicians - the guitarists are both music teachers and have just finished a world tour with Darren Hayes.

I think their price is around £750 (it was last year) but tell them I sent you as I am doing the frontman's wedding in a few weeks time. ;)

We're just looking for a decent, reasonably priced, covers band. That play wedding's and can play covers from 80's through to the 00's.

Prefer more of an indie / rock covers band but willing to consider others, as long as they can play stuff which gets people up and dancing.
