Yes
I've been using the ROES system for my wedding albums but it is a bit clunky and somewhat limited, it is also not the most intuitive software so I'm hunting around for an alternative.

I'm after one that has various templates where I can hopefully just drag and drop images, I realise I could do this with CS2 but I can imagine it will be time consuming. I've already seen some by Yervant (very expensive) and PixelPro (I think that is what it is called) which has mixed reviews.

What is everyone else using?

Thanks KIM, that's what I thought!

Best - though costs a bit - is dg-foto imho - piece of P to use and has enough options/control to not really need Photoshop at all (or for much). Best function by far is that it resizes instantly for different albums (i.e parent's albums, or a size upgrade!) You can also print your own A4 'samples' pages to upsell a client or project on a screen/wall

GFSmith have a mini version for their albums only, but not worth it methinks by comparison

All others are limited by comparison as they tend to be designed for an album range, which is why they are cheaper as they expect you to buy their albums

Figure in TIME as a cost - and dg-foto makes sense to me

Thanks Dave, I'll have a look at that later - is it expensive?

It's American, so getting cheaper as their economy crashes

Price is all relative, so yes £300 ish is a lot at first - but over just 10 weddings it's only £30 per weddings and will give you back hours of design time - how much is that worth???

It's also one of the recommended software versions for such as Sim2000 etc.

At first - it can be a bit daunting as it has so many options, but play with it and you soon develop your own style within it - even designing your own templates - at which point it becomes quick & easy - if you shoot FOR THE ALBUM it gets even easier

In CS3 if someone says I 'Love the layout - but want a (smaller/bigger) album' you're left cursing, but here it's a few click and it resizes the album for you

Aside from having an unpaid assistant - I cannot think of an easier way to do such things!

Fotofusion doesn't come with templates but I know a lot a people that like it, it's quite flexible.

Page Gallery is the way to go if you want templates - it is expensive, but it's a great product and you can knock a very impressive album out in a couple of hours.
