Hi all,

I'm heading to Silverstone next weekend to photograph the 6 hour WEC race and am trying to sort out the cheapest way of getting there from London. Taxi from Milton Keynes/Northampton train stations works out at about £30 each way, and seeing as I'm going on Fri/Sat/Sun that's a lot of taxi fare!

Is anyone heading to Silverstone next weekend who wants to share a cab? Or can anyone recommend any other transport options? Any advice greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Ben

Have you considered camping there?

Cost of camping stuff still works out cheating and less time consuming than travelling daily.

There is a regular bus from northampton that serves Whittlebury and silverstone - you would need to walk to the bustation from train station but fare will only cost you around £5 return.

Bus is also available from MK that will pass through whittlebury, you will need to walk from there which is possible.

Camping is the best solution at Whittlebury site if you are coming up for multiple days.
