Websites for Photography

If you want something genuinely good and subscription based, zenfolio is the only choice.

But a Wordpress site is a better option if you want something that's genuinely 'yours'.

Do wordpress have any rights to your photos?

Why would they, it's my website?

Or do you mean having a free Wordpress hosted blog?

My guess would be no! But you'd have to check.

Jai..I have a Zenfolio site and am very pleased with the result..easy to customise and the basic package is reasonably priced..you can use my referral code for a 10% discount-D9K-334-TTN (you can visit my site at www.robinchun.com I've customised to a clean, minimal look)

Hello Robin, thanks very much for the info and code, now that is the type of site that I am looking for, something clean and simple to navigate.

What package do you have to be on in order to sell prints on there, shopping cart..etc

With basic package you can buy prints from photobox in Europe but at lab base prices.. I think I'm right in saying you have to have a higher package to set your own prices
Hope that helps

Robin

Jai - I use Zenfolio and been happy with their service. If you want another example of what you can make one of their sites look like mine is here

Another vote for Zenfolio, I swapped to them around 4 months ago and am very pleased with both the look and functionality of the site, SEO seems to work pretty well too...I previously used Clikpic whose offerings now look very dated, also looked at a few others but Zenfolio was the one that seemed to offer pretty much everything I needed

I also use Zenfolio and they are brilliant, if you ever have any problem (rare) they sort it VERY quickly to.

A customer once did not get their prints (not zenfolios fault) I contacted them and my customer had them the next day

I'm also on zenfolio

Generally they've been very good but photobox prints can be darker than expected. However you can also offer digital downloads with licences for various types of use.

Once you've found your way around the menus its quite easy to produce what you want but the learning curve can be a bit steep!

10% discount on sign up if you use code JJE-7K9-BTM

It can seem a bit fiddly at first especially the price lists but you will get used to it

I sell all my wedding prints from mine...
