Website Opinions also wanted

Design is nice, fairly quick to load and it's simple to use, so from that front it's fine.

Couple of issues I do have, is that it refreshes every 5 seconds, for what seems like no reason

Also you've used javascrpt for the links etc, any reason? CSS would do exactly the same thing.

Not sure if it makes a difference, but I ususally locate the META tags in my headers, rather than the body, but thats just the way I was taught, it doesn't affect the site at all :)

That was a short broadcast

Photos look good Lee.

IMO, I'd have the images as a galerry from where you can click on each individual image, rtaher than having six or seven loading onto the same page*–*just gives the site more depth and keeps people browsing longer. Good job though

If you are looking for a Gallery, I'd suggest checking out here [clicky] It's free, integrates with your CSS, and is very easy to use.

Yeh, Server Not Found for me too.

Where abouts are you studying the BTEC? I was thinking of doing a course in Nottingham but wasn't sure if they would be any good.

Hi, for a first attempt I think it is great! Good simple use of XHTML :) I should have a brief look at CSS though, just google a search for CSS, try and use external css and link to it from your .htm pages.

With regards to the metatags: search engines like to see them at the top of the page, along with the keywords.

A good way of learning css and html/xhtml and all scripting is to look at the source codes for each page, by pressing ctrl+u

Hope that helps :) Good effort though

Yeah, the main thing is that all the images are on the same page. Just a bit of a pain but there's ways around that. Either thumbnail them all on one page so people just click the thumbnail to open up the bigger picture or a click-to-go-to-next-pic gallery type thing. Not bad though, I remember when I first started. Had a hard time changing the font type, let alone anything else. Don't want to scare you too much with a load of suggestions but keeping it simple, I might consider having all the links down one side almost like a list. Just reads easier that way I feel but it might be just me with that.

Some good pictures on the site, I like the Sci-Fi section, not something I've really seen done before. I'm a Red Dwarf fan too, thought I was alone.
