Hi guys,
finally i got some time to make my own website.
But not able to decide the name. Hope you guys help me out.
My name is Santanu..so initially i was planning to get santanuphotography.com but it was already taken by someone.
Now I am thinking of sansimagery.com . Please suggest me is this address feels alright.
Also I am going for the Zenfolio. SO if anyone have any discount code, i will be very grateful.

Is sansimagery not sounds alright!!! sans stand for the initial of my name and imagery is images...

sanstog sounds alright and i just checked its available. But is this name sounds like photography website?
 
i think in the photography world photographers can be known as a "tog or togs" so yes. Its reasonable short to compared with anything thats got photographer or photography in and then youve got the problem when you say it to someone and they say....did he say photographer, photography, how do i spell photograph.....ahhhh forget it :bang: and look for someome else.

yah I think I will go for it. It sounds good and easy and now relevant.

Currently I am in UK but there is good chance that I will move back to some other country. That's why I am thinking not to get the co.uk option.
But i really like the sanstog one. Most probably will go for it..

"tog" is horrid and doesnt mean photographer to anyone you are likely to want to impress.

I have to disagree, regardless of what your website is called it should be your work people are impressed with (or not) not wheather your called sanstog or santander its the product behind your name that matters, the name is just the catchy begining bit and in this case easier to type/remember than sanstogphotography.co.whatever.com.whocares.

If you like sanstog.com then you get it if not then youll be sans :D
 
You know mate I am really confused now. I will think in my bed tonight as I can think better in my sleepy state of mind and decide tomorrow morning. I was even not so confused before buying my first Camera..

There's always wephoto.eu ("we photo you") for anyone thinking of starting a large studio franchise, or wephoto.it for anyone thinking about a nice corporate and commercial calling.....

Your domain name can affect your google ranking. Its best if it includes something that reflects what your site is about. Calling yourdelf "abcltd" isnt helping your site to be found. Of course if uou arent bothered about people finding you by search then it doesnt matter.

Blimey that was quick. It took me a couple of weeks to design and build mine using joomla.
Not sure I like the striped background
