I am planning on setting a website up to post my pictures....can anyone point me in a good direction for hosting and some sort of template for easy setting up.

My knowledge of this sort of thing is very limited so any help would be much appreciated.

My host i use is www.ehosting.co.uk which are UK bases and the servers are also located in the UK. I have used Fasthost before with many sites that i have worked on and have had problems as the servers are located in Germany. Instead of templates you could always get a cheap hosting package from ehosting which supports MySQL and PHP and then use the free Gallery2 softeware so you can upload your photos quick and easy. You then could just have a single HTML Index page with some info about u.

I've been using Dataflame for about 5 years now, any small problems have been sorted by their team very quickly...
 
Be wary if you use any of the free sites - your junk mail will increase. I set up one somewhere for something I wanted to do quickly but used a "disposable" email address for it and in spite of their assurance that your email address would be used for no other purposes etc etc it got all the usual offers and a lot of them
