Website for a lazy photographer

I have what I thought was a simple question, but I've been unable to get a straightforward answer after an hour's googling.

Background: I have a photoblog (based on WordPress), which I use to showcase my photography. I also have a Photobox Pro Gallery for selling prints, should anyone want one, but I find it rather slow, and the leap from one website to another is maybe a little disconcerting for some.

What I'd like is a website which is a little more organised than a blog, which is also fully geared up for selling prints, and those prints are printed and despatched by a 3rd party.

I'm happy to consider an all-in-one service, although I already have unlimited hosting as a web designer. What I need is the print fulfillment integrated in my website, and not one of these international services which seem to be common. I don't want people to be paying international shipping and waiting for an eternity.

I've been reading about Foliopic, Photium, Zenfolio, Smugmug, Photoshelter, etc., but it's difficult to get information on UK print fulfillment from the blurb. I need some impartial advice.

So, should I just stick with Photobox, or are there better things around?

Thanks for reading this far!

I use zenfolio and can't fault it. It does however use photobox to fulfil orders. Turn around time on prints in quick, and the commission they charge is acceptable.

Zenfolio also uses One Vision if you want an alternative to Photobox. You have a choice of which to use or can use both.

They also have just enabled a blog page and I think you can transfer existing blogs across. I'm not sure about that though as I've never blogged before - just started this weekend as its something I'd been wanting to do and hoping Zenfolio would be introducing soon.

One vision do indeed fulfil orders, but that's only on their most expensive package, the new blog is good, although I used to run one using a custom page on zen for the last six months or so.

Awesome. That's good to know. Thanks.

I've been shown FotoMoto (a website add-on), but the print fulfillment was from the USA, which seems a bit mad. I believe they were dealing with a German print company, but it was too expensive. Again, a UK printer would be ideal.

Has anyone had dealings with other UK-based outfits, or is Zenfolio the only one?

Zenfolio is great and if you buy the top package your fees for using online print partners get reduced and are nil if you self fulfil which is great.

As for hosting something like Vidahost would be good.

I already have a good web host, but surely I don't need one with Zenfolio?

Is the print fulfillment in Zenfolio seamless, or does it send you from one website to another?

But your title says webhosting? Has me confused a tad.

Yes the one vision fulfilment is seamless.

Sorry. I tried to explain that I already have good hosting, and am currently using a home-made photoblog with links to PhotoBox; and that I wasn't averse to the idea of using all-in-one photography website templating (a la Clikpic, Photium, SmugMug etc) if it had integrated UK-based print fulfillment.

I'm still open to any other suggestions (it's good to get a bit of choice), but Zenfolio is sounding very promising.

Photium is self fulfilment only (it was when I used it) ... don't know about clikpic.

Change the title then.... go to advanced edit options in your original post.
