Website Feedback

Hi. Seems like a lot of wasted space on my ipod

On my laptop its better, it fits the screen. However, you have so much coding and styles on the page that the content doesn't appear until line 799 so no good for being found by google. Title on its own is not enough. You might want to rethink that.

It looks nice but how does it read?
As above, there's not much for search engines to get their teeth into, you've even got a blog, which is awesome for SEO content - then you've treated it as a photo essay.

For tips on what not to do, read 5 other 'look at my site' threads, and you'll have an epiphany.

Your website is a shop window - look at the DFS website, have they mentioned why they started building sofas or that they've got a passion for it? Or are they dragging you in to buy something nice that'll improve your life. In short - are you showing off your photo's or trying to attract customers? It's something we're all guilty of and it's a hard habit to break - my website is on a constant stream of re-writes because I haven't got there yet.

Just a thought
Is the £250 package available for a Saturday in July in 2014?, pulling people in with a low price is one thing - but shooting a £250 wedding on a date you could fill for a couple who want a proper album at prices that'll reflect your experience in 12 months time? That's throwing money down the drain.

thanks phil your a wealth of knowledge  lol i think you've commented before on my seo and i've really tried hard to get it in shape recently... but the blog is kind of hard to do i don't know what to write at all

and yeah i'm thinking of dropping the £250 it was a marketing ploy which to be honest on some occasions has not been worth the hassle

I hate writing blog posts, most of my writing since leaving school has been quite technical (like here) and I'm fine with that, but the blog posts are supposed to show the fun entertaining guy that turns up at a wedding:love: and I can't seem to write in his voice.

But forget the style for now, even if no-ones reading your posts, you need venues, locations weddings engagements couples, families photographs etc littered through your text, even if its quite formulaic at first. Then alt text and descriptions on your pictures, remember google can't see what's in a picture, and neither can blind people, so the Internet encourages you to tell blind people what the picture is of, which comes in real handy for google too:thumbs:

lol have a look at my landing page i've updated to " sell myself " like you said :)

That is unique, I have never seen anything like it before. I think I like it too.

However, your home page is still the best place to put some great SEO friendly content, even if it's 'below the fold' you need some text on your homepage.

I'd imagine a lot of people exclusively browse the Internet from ios and android devices. I can't view the site from my iPad and I believe adobe are cutting flash support for android too. That is a huge potential market you are missing out on.

Need to bin the flash and make the site tablet friendly to maximise possible customers.

I would re-word some of the text in the About page.

E.g. 'I purchased my first camera with the sole intention of photographing.....'

Some lovely image though

Edit...should also be 'a natural ability' rather than 'an natural ability'

Ive no idea how you've built it or details of the template etc. can you put text in the left pane, or as I said earlier below the crease.
