Hi Folks,

I'm currently working on my new website and would like some feedback please.

It's only about 50% complete and there are still a few issues that need sorted:

1. The rectangle menu on the home page needs sorted. Trying to figure out how to set it to 100%, however having nothing but bother with it.

2. Width needs to be fixed as the photographs seem stretched on most monitors.

3. Contact Page needs sorted, it's only a copy and paste from my other site. Looking to fill it up a bit more and sort the overall format of it.

4. Contact image on the home page needs sorted, only a temp one which was on my pc at the time.

5. I'm going to disable the right click, so users can't open the menu items in a new window. Done

6. Not all the links are working.

7. Not all of the photographs are currently on it.

I was thinking about just having a fixed width, but unsure about it, as I quite like the idea of the website adjusting to when you resize the window etc.

C&C appreciated .

Cheers,

I'm keeping both sites, as this site mainly runs on flash. Will give the user the option of which site they would like to go to first.

I like it, a very clean looking flash website, only two things I'd add to your list:

On the front page, under testimonials, the testimonial text slides under the menu, blocking some of it from view.

I'm not a fan of the filmstrip movement at the bottom of the gallery pages - it moving in the same direction as the mouse made me 'chase' the image I wanted and was mildly frustrating.

all that said

Seems to be a nice layout , when I select the Automotive section the pictures fill the screen and on a wide screen laptop look stretched ( not nice at all ) as I think you mentioned the links from the Home bar don't work , I personally would have waited a little longer before posting as it spoils what is going to be a great result.

I am no expert, but I really like the lay out. It has a very professional feel to it. Pictures were stretched on my laptop however as you pointed out in pt2. Have you created it yourself?

I like the layout in general but I'm with Mike, I hate the film strip on the galleries slipping from side to side.

Hi Thomas. I'm not fond of flash sites, but I think this one works well. I think you have to decide whether to go for a fixed, elastic or liquid layout (to quote Dreamweaver terminology). In the current version, its liquid in that some of the content moves around disconcertingly when you resize, but you can't enlarge the text. Images, of course, don't scale, so you are almost tied to a fixed or elastic layout as it an image-driven site.

Some audience research may throw up some deciding factors: who is your main audience, what type of on-line experience do they expect, do they enable flash, typical monitor size etc. Then you can more closely match your layout to your main audience.

Thanks for the quick repies :).

I had the same problem as well Mike, will need to try and adjust the speed of it.

Thanks Kevan, I'm really just looking to see if I'm going the right direction with the site, I suppose thats whay I posted it up quite soon lol. I'm going to sort out the width tonight .

Thanks Paul. The CSSand the general layout was done myself , I did not create the Flash however. There are a few templates that I found on the internet, some are free with the option to buy them. I can point you in the direction of the website if you'd like?

Thanks and noted, I'll look into that tonight :).

Hi Carol,

Thanks for that. I think your right. I'll need to research into it a bit further .

Updated the settings for the gallery on the Landscape section. Your not "chasing the images", which is good, but I'll need to make the bar a bit longer.

Adjusted the % of the width to 90%, instead of 95%. Looks fine on normaly monitors. Not sure how this looks on laptops, or widescreen screens, but will check once I'm home.

Will update again later on.

Updated again. Sorted out the width the best I could for the laptops without affecting normal desktops. All the content is nearly uploaded. I quite like it, but still feel it's missing something, for example the contact page seems a bit bare. Not sure what I could add to it though. Any suggestions?

Morning bump :). Feedback is appreciated or perhaps suggestions.

I've added a backgorund photograph to the contact page, but still need to sort out the CSS attached to it. Got to add a few more testimonials and a few more photographs. A couple more sections will be added too.

Hi Thomas. On my screen, the rhs disappears if I resize the browser window smaller. I am also wondering why you have mixed <div> layout with tables?
