Hi all, I'm leaving uni this summer and going straight into full time photography/film production with a friend. We've had our website and showreel up for a while now and it's landed us a few interesting jobs. I'm not able to push the work too hard because I'm just going into my finals and have a shed load of work to be getting on with but we're hoping it'll pick up over summer and beyond! Just wondering if you could spot any obvious improvements in the site or things you think are important which we've missed!

www.escapade7.com

Cheers,
Sam

Contact details. Genuine, readily available means of contact you - not just a contact form.

I know they're there if I wade through the hidden path from the Homepage via About to your personal Instagram accounts, but that'sway too much like hard work for most potential clients. It's like you don't want to be contacted (or you don't really exist).. .. ;)

Will do!

Just tried looking now and it's very slow to load for me (Chrome/Desktop PC). Bounced around a few other sites to make sure it's not up my end and they're all fine.

I've just commented on your video thread about the showreel...

My main comment about your website would be the absence of any clear immediate sense of what the website is for. It could be seen just as the presentation of some of your work, rather than offering your services.

As Alastair suggests, clearly presented contact details (and ideally a targetted call to action) would be good.

I think that might be because we've used full resolution images for the backgrounds, I think I could replace them with lower res versions to solve that.

Thanks for the feedback Mark. I guess in the past I've just had a website as a portfolio whereas now we're wanting to get jobs out of it specifically so it's a bit different. I've added a direct email and phone number to the contact page as well as our main aim to the front page so you can't miss it!

Any other feedback would be great, cheers!
