Website Feedback Please!

Hello to the Forum.

I am about to start a three year degree in photography and i've been getting more and more serious about it over the last year. I upgraded from a 350d to a 30d and i am very pleased with the camera.

If anyone can take a look at my website and give me any feedback about it (how easy it is to use/any bugs etc) aswell as some photo critic that would be awesome.( Please bare in mind i'm only new to the scene so don't be too harsh please)

It certainly looks cool. My bigest critique would be it takes quite a while for the pages to load and I'm running on fiber optic cable and get download speeds of 20g a second. Sometimes cool doesn't get people to stick around through the loading process.. Just my 2p though.

I have to agree. Having each sub section load in a seperate window is tiresome. A website is like showing someone your portfolio, it needs to be easy to navigate, have all your best stuff on show (not that yours hasnt) and be simple, quick and fast.

I would have left normally on the first page ...Whaaay to slow, and the second page did seem to do anything ...perhaps it was loading something else ...I left thinking nothing to find.

Agreed I am afraid. I like the look, the simplicity but its just too slow, even on a quick t'internet connection.

As ppl have said above, I'm not sure what it's doing in the background but the site is too slow to load. Ppl will not tolerate a wait of more than 10seconds on the net for a page to load. They'll be off ! Not so sure about seperate pop-ups for catergories either. And having a click to enter splash page is going to put ppl off too !

Having said all that, I still like the pics you've got. Very cool.

Thanks for all the comments, it seems i'll need to make some changes to the obvious problems.

I shall remove the slow and pointless pre-loading screens as they're more trouble than their worth. I think the best criticism was to make it quick and simple to use. So that's what I'm going to do....
