Ummm no lol.
How do i do this and how much does it cost?

Go to 123Reg or fasthosts etc, they cost around 6-7 pound for two years for a .co.uk

it's interesting - not 100% about the first block of photographs being on the first post, but then that is only my taste - all in all it's a good feel blog

A Wordpress site doesn't have to be a blog, it's flexible enough and configurable enough to be set up as a gallery site and there are a couple of good gallery plugins to that end.

You're obviously familiar with WP so that may be a good place to start.

There are some great tips on the "So you want a website..." thread at the top of the forum.

Buying the domain name first is a good idea, less than £10, I use Domain monster, but there are loads of other places.

Before you worry about how you are going to build your website, decide what you want, get at least a rough idea of what you want it to look like and what content you want it to feature. Think about who it is aimed at etc.

any reason why there is a NSFW tag on the thread?

cant see anything in the link apart from some people on a bus, some plants, jellybeans, buildings, some night shots and a lot of writing..

originally the link had some nudes on the front page, Tim suggested the front page be changed so i assume that's happened : )

they are not jelly beans, they are the nudes.. should have gone to specsavers

They are jelly beans lol. There was nude pictures on there of my girlfriend but you couldnt see any rude parts of the body. Only flesh. And i also didnt take the pictures of because someone suggested it, i took them of because my girlfriend requested i did. I would just do it for some random stranger.
Thanks

What does NSFW stand for?

Pete

I've owned many websites. You have to pay for a domain name, then pay for someone to host you. Or sometimes you can find packages deals where you pay so much for hosting and get a free domain name. Look around, look at reviews before you buy anything.

'Not Safe for Work' some people work in an enviroment where opening/downloading nude or risque photos etc could be viewed as improper conduct... hence the warning.

I'd suggest this is a bad idea, IMO. You're then tied to the hosting company once the free period runs out, as they'll not want to give up the domain name without a fight in most cases.

I always advocate buying your domains names separately from your hosting. It may cost a couple of pounds more, but it will save time in the long run.

I personally use 123-reg for my domain names.. About £7 for a .co.uk domain for two years. I then "point" the domain to my hosting via their change nameservers option :)

I use bluehost.com to host my website, and they have many wizards to get stuff up and going such as domain registration etc. You can also run a wizard to install Wordpress if you want to continue to use it as a blogging software.
