Webiste hosting £10 a month - Cheap/expensive?

It really is simple and I really don't know how many ways I can say this... There is no such thing as unlimited...

YES!

But the advert is still a lie.. just because you don't find out its a lie doesn't mean it isn't... If i tell you my names fred when its not.. and you never find out.. does that mean its not a lie?

Sorry but you don't seem to want to understand how a web hosting company can NOT guarantee unlimited service..Just because you cant put it to the test you seem to think its then truth.. it isn't.. they can not offer unlimited service...

Deep breath :)

Just because you say its a lie don't make it a lie :p

They are (currently) providing me with a service thats Not limited or restricted in terms of number, quantity, or extent - ie unlimited service and until they place any restrictions on me they will be providing me with a service without limitation, and until that happens its not a lie.

And i don't think i have used the word Guarantee and its not used anywhere on the Ad and thats quite important -if you wanted a guarantee service it would cost you a LOT more money.

As for not understanding - i design this **** as a day job - well Data centers / virtual infrastructure, On command computing etc rather than web hosting
- well I did a small one for a client providing 500,000 new connections per second with a total of 5 million concurrent connections about 3 years ago

Vodafone ultd texts used to be unlimited, as did the internet...but now reduced to 3000 :P

To be fair when you go to Pizza Hut I can get unlimited coke, and I've never been to a buffet where they have asked me to stop because I'm eating too much...

They have stats on their up time - http://www.unlimitedwebhosting.co.uk/service.php so I don't believe that should be an issue.

Their clients are apparently 4OD, Harvey Goldsmith, Big Brother and more. If It's good enough for them It's good enough for me.

I don't see the problem here? If a little down the line the terms change (which to be fair happens with most companies anyway) you just change provider. For the mean time I'd say that seems pretty good, no?

£10 a month is high for hosting for a small blog. For that price id say you should have between 8GB -15GB Disk space and around 80GB - 100GB+ Bandwidth. Just had a look and that theme on your blog can be gotten "Free" by click the link in the footer which is made by an US website? but the icon by a guy in birmingham - UK.

I think your being robbed if your getting under 5GB Disk space and under 20GB Bandwidth. If you have Cpanel you can see down the left hand side what features etc... you have.

On the note of Unlimited. Its not real. You don't get Unlimited Hard drives for £100 on ebay do you? What it means is they have loads of space and are looking to make cash quickly. The unlimited term is a way to scam people into hosting. Which most hosts have limits. Likely on the bandwidth like JustHost. :)
