I am a total beginner but have started doing meetings online. I bought myself a Nulaxy webcam but it doesn't seem to have the features that I need. I want to be able to turn the webcam microphone of from time to time and was hoping there would have been a webcam icon on the screen that would have allowed for this. The Nulaxy doesn't have anything on the screen at all. Can anyone offer a webcam model that would do this?

Normally muting the microphone from the current conversation is done in the webchat program you are using at the time (zoom, Skype, teams, etc.).

Turning it off completely is done in the main pc’s sound and microphone settings. Asssuming you are in windows you can right click the volume icon in the taskbar (bottom left of screen) to go to the relevant menu.

As above, we use teams, zoom or Google chat and there is an option on all to mute and stop the camera .

What app are you using?

Ah! got it then. Up to now I have only watched meetings and have seen people turn off their microphone with a quick click, I assumed they were turning of their microphone of on their webcam. Sorry to have bothered you and thanks.
We do have headsets that we use which have a mute button on them too, so makes it easier muting your self.

The latest power toys had a button to block camera for all apps. Optionally sounds too.

But do like Zuckerberg and use a post it just in case.
