Web Hosting - Recommendations?

Hi Folks,

Who can recommend a decent web hosting service suitable for displaying a moderate portfolio, with the opportunity to add web based sales at some point.

Let's assume small scale here, though that shouldn't be important as the hosting providers i've seen so far typically 3 or more packages based around storage and bandwidth.

I'm a half decent web designer but i am intertested in sites which offer "photographic" templates as well as just hosting.

Thanks for the info. I've finally settled on Vidahost, though the choice on offer was bewildering...

One tip i would suggest is before signing up with anyone do a search for a promo code for them. I did and saved another 20% off the 1st years hosting.
 
Now that i've settled in with Vidahost I thought i'd share my experience. All went very smoothly apart from they never sent out the account details email. A quick email to support and they "resent" it within the hour. Excellent service. Their control panel can fail to load if you have a duff connection (poor gprs connection in my case).

I have settled on using jalbum and the chameleon skin for now. It serves my purposes for the moment while I build up the site. jalbum is quite good but do save your project before "compiling" it as I found jalbum has a tendency to quit working occasionally during the compile. The only way out is to force the program to close and then when you reopen it your changes since the last save are lost.
