IE7 has just made me mad again ...it freezes about 3-6 times daily whats the best alternative
 
not safari.... Firefox or Opera fit the bill - depending on your definition of "best"
 
Safari isn't bad on the Mac. The new Firefox is ok too.
 
Have you done the recent up-date on IE7?
(search windows update its only a "small" security patch)
Touch wood, it works OK for me
 
whats safari and does it run on vista or is it a mac thing
 
I'm sure that you're not alone in having "problems" with IE7 but I have to say that I can't remember having any trouble with it at all since I started with Vista. It may be something else causing the lock-ups and may occur with other browsers too.Bob

I have had IE since the very ealy days of win 3.11 and never had probs till ie7 so gonna try safari see if this is ok
 
Gonna let DM test it out on his P.C first before it goes on my laptop.Mine freezes too but not as often.
 
I used to use firefox but had problems on some sites especially on hsbc and ebay now all I use is Safari up till now im well happy with it btw I use it on both my pc's ones running XP and the other is Vista for gods sake dont download the IE8 beta I had to reformat after that as its buggy as hell and messed up my version of firefox then tried Chrome from google ended up using Safari
 
I've been using Google Chrome,i find it very fast and easy to use.I also use Firefox,Opera and Safari,i tend to flick between one or the other when i fancy a change.But i NEVER use internet explorer!!
 
Another vote for FF,been using it for a long time.:)

i used to use firefox religiously but since chrome came about that is all i use. i like the whole browser and the simplicity of it. i also like the incognito window which is great for browsing sites you shouldnt and i like the fact that if you have multiple tabs open and the page freezes then all you have to do is close that one tab rather than the whole browser.
 
Funny that, mine started freezing in the last month!!!! thought it was my pc but now looks like an issue with ie!!!

I take it all back im back with firefox:nono::bang:
 
firefox, then install download them all, noscript and adblocker :)
