Hasn't rained here in Cornwall for what seems like weeks and the forecast doesn't show anything for weeks to come. Don't think I've experienced such a drought period this early in the year; global warming perhaps?

fossil fuels matey
the world loves c02

Not just yet thanks...

We have got the back garden dug, now waiting to lay the flag stones. ;)

Move to Ireland :p we get plenty of the stuff. We've had a good spell of sunshine last few weeks, but there's an odd day in between when it'll rain overnight and into the morn, clears up, sun peeps out for a couple hours, then more rain in the evening. I was mowing the lawn yesterday eve, was one of the sunnier evenings we've had and I could swear I felt drops on back of my neck ... that's how regular rain is, we're ever expecting it, and it'll come when you least want it - was just my imagination this time thankfully

Last summer we had one of the driest in years and there was indeed a hose-pipe ban, couldn't have been worse timing, kids with little else to do bar splash about in a backyard pool

I blame our local rain dancers. They're playing croquet when they should be at the crease! :naughty:

Oxfordshire is nicer now the mud has finally dried. We seem to have a lot of water still, and the local springs are flowing at near winter levels.

It's not so long ago it was snowing here but we haven't had any significant snow or rain for quite a while.

Same here in London. I can't remember when I last saw rain. It has helped on walks in Epping Forest though, which is good at retaining wet for ages and now it is nice and dry.

Along with the lack of rain is the overnight cold in the last couple of weeks - makes it difficult to decide which plants I can put out.

I seem to remember we had a long dry spell around this time last year although it was also warmer

Yep, had nicer weather than this last year for the whole of April. We had rain about a week ago, briefly. It can gladly stay away for another few weeks, it’s nice to be out in the garden in the sun.
