I was just thinking about a sloppy retriever V my cat, the most violent creature on 4 legs I've ever come across, but not with people.

It would be no contest.

A cat I had many years ago put my mate in hospital. He couldn't read the signs, even after I warned him.
 
Used to have a very fierce, fighting, ginger tom called Roger ["Roger the cat", geddit :) ] Then along came the Jack Russells :( Roger moved 2 miles to village.
Suppose it was 2 against 1 tho'.

One of my farmers has a cat which hospitalised the vet - 27 stitches if I recall correctly. The farmer did tell the vet not try and scruff him in the carrier, but the new vet knew best :whistling:

Its also worth mentioning that the reason the cat in question was at the vet was that it had caught an owl (like you do) and while trying to bring the owl through the cat flap the Owl made a break for freedom and sank its talons into the cats head.
 
I am looking at a Daliesque clock as I type! It's melting off the TV shelving. (Sorry, not a meme!!!)
