Well I'm finally back and in one piece from yesterday which was my first wedding  I really enjoyed it which surprised me, although my feet were killing (and still are) and I didn't realise just how tiring it is- I came away from the reception at 9:20pm as I was shattered

I'm now going through the photographs, we've got some nice ones from what I can see. My present to the bride and groom is a photobook filled with the best ones of the day, so was wondering where you lovely guys would suggest ordering one from?

Can't be too expensive as I am skint! Or are there any other nice ways of displaying a select few photos?

Cheers :D

Ooh, and at the reception I was asked if I'd consider doing another wedding for some other friends... eeeeeeek!! I think I caught the wedding bug

Blurb are my favs, got my latest wedding one through the post the other day...now I don't want to hand it over to the bride and groom :D Yes, it's that nice!

Get in the next couple of weeks too, their prices are going up!

Cheers :)

I like the Blurb books, seem quite good value for money. Snapfish seemed expensive for what they were, plus I didn't like the themes and page layout, and there's no way on earth I have £40 to spend ;)

Other options are buying a big photo album and getting prints done, not sure which would look better?

blurb are my recommended outlet, ive been very impressed with them, more so now that the shipping problems are sorted

I use Mypublisher.com. Excellent print quality, about a week turnaround.

have had them done through Aldi, but the best for me has been Kodak

Or you could get them a digital photoframe :)

Glad you survived the day, not easy is it? (But very rewarding :))

Well done on getting through without a major incident btw. Sounds like you didn't need the backup camera!

p.s. How about a example pic or two to see how you did? (even pre-edited) :)

Looks like I will go with blurb then if I do a photobook. Still not decided how I'll present the best photos though.

The day had no major problems, neither of us needed a backup camera which was good :)

With regards to posting photos on here, do you ask the bride/groom if you can post them or do you all go ahead without asking?

I've also just had my first Blurb book. The quality is far higher than any book I've ordered before from either Snapfish or Photobox. Total turnaround was about 9 - 10 working days including delivery, but it's well worth the wait. The quality of everything from the binding to the paper is excellent - they really do make your work look professional.

is it true with blurb you have to pay more for them not to print their copyright on it?

I took some shots at a friends wedding recently and I made them up a photobook afterwards from Kodak gallery. I used the Simon and Kabuki template as I thougt the pages really added a bit of interest.

Plus I found a code online which got me the album for half price which meant I got a leather bound 28 page album for just over £16 including the delivery. I ordered it on the Saturday morning and it came on the Tuesday so quick turnaround and was really good quality :)

They don't print a copyright as such, just an extra page at the end with a very small "Blurb" logo at the bottom to show people where you had your book made. It costs about £2.00 extra if you want them to remove it. Blurb don't assert copyright over your book.
