hi all
looked at a few houses now and got more to still look at. prices in the sussex area are astronomical compared with the walsall area. its not so much about cost more like getting something we would be happy living in. will keep in touch

Why does Easter have to get in the way? That is 3 days lost purchasing time.
 
got everyone on board now, solicitors-surveyors- agents etc so things progressing steadily towards the purchase
 
Update

seller had electrical work done with cert. which we need to see. Solicitors in their own habitat are by nature slow so minor matters regarding planning consent approval and given the ok by the local council was taking too long (over a week at least). So I short circuited it and rang he council and got a reply in 10 minutes . Told my solicitor and she wondered how I did it so fast, maybe a little brain power and common sense would work.

Been informed the electric in the house has a pass cert and should be in the hands of the sellers solicitor ,again another week of waiting "DUH". So rang the agents to make sure they "the sellers" had the drains pressure cleaned as there was a little water not draining away.

So now instructed the solicitor to draw up contracts ready for exchange and how much poorer she is going to make us. Getting near a*se kicking time if nothing happens soon

now got contracts for exchange so off to the bank monday for bank transfer and tuesday to see solicitor to amend one section and sign. things starting to move again. all searches now complete so no reason for further holdups.

its so close to the beach when wife goes swimming everyone will be whale watching:whistle:

Its good to see there is a decent sized garage ;)

update
Exchanging contracts tomorrow and complete on 25 this month, have to wait for their removal people to shift the vendors

We are in . Completed yesterday at 11am and removal guys turned up in the afternoon instead of today. At he moment surrounded with packing boxes never knew we had so much stuff. tell more late
