My wife gave birth to our first baby this evening! Say hello to my beautiful little girl grace. Born at 11.16pm on Monday 8th april! Not too long a labour. About 6 hours so she's done really well. I really couldn't be any more proud of both of my angels. I had to share as so so so excited :-)

Congratulations, welcome to parenthood. She will make you laugh, she will make you cry, she will make you the proudest dad in the world and then embarrass you like never before. She will cost you a fortune and leave you skint most of the time. But she is your daughter and you will love her more than life itself. So once again congrats and spend as much time as you can with her because in a blink of an eye she will be all grown up and will not want to spend time with her old dad.

Thats rather moving and completely accurate.

So once again congrats and spend as much time as you can with her because in a blink of an eye she will be all grown up and will not want to spend time with her old dad.

I cant stress this enough, my sons not long turned one and its just gone by so fast... anytime you think "I'll just do this for five minutes, then play with her", slap yourself and get down to play.
 
Thanks very much for all the kind words everyone. We're back home now and gracey and mum are doing really well. She's absolutely gorgeous in already smitten! Long night's ahead but we're up for the challenge and looking forward to hundreds of good memories with our new little girlie! :-D

make sure you get loads of pictures of her as you wont believe how quick the time goes and they grow
it seems like only yesterday my daughter gave birth to my first grandson and he will be 1 next month

Thanks :-) I've taken loads lol, I've taken a picture of the bump every week since week 6 of the pregnancy and I'm going to make up a photobook for Laura (my wife) of all the pics from before and during and after the first few days including all the ones ive taken this week :-)
 
Congratulations

I had my first baby start of this year (February), a little girl too. She is my world now. Always put here before everything else now.
