WCMUT....what cheered me up today

WCMUT, wife wanted to go into a crystal shop. In the middle there was a Druid(ess?) talking to people, one of the sentiments/bits of advice she gave out to someone was “Dont dream it, be it” with a straight face.

Anne, a friend of mine who is a druid, had a chap trying to photograph her with his Apple I phone. It wouldn't work! I said that it obviously wasn't Anne Druid compatible.

I'll get my coat on the way out!

...and the next 10 days we are having the old kitcken ripped out and a new one put in.
Oh Joy!
We've just about recovered from that same trauma, 9 years ago! :tumbleweed:

WCMUT My Zoom G3Xn guitar effects pedal arrived. Oooooh! Another toy!

Firing up the (gas) barbecue to cook a couple of pork souvlaki. I was going to have pork steaks but since it's so warm and dry today, I changed my mind!

Being able to spend a few hours in the garden, in the warm Autumn sunshine,
starting to prepare it for winter.

It was rather pleasant out there :)

Yes it was, had a nice walk along the seafront this afternoon, even had to take my jacket of as I was getting quite hot.

Wet all day here, managed to get out with dog at 5 for an hour surprisingly stayed dry

Finding some reel to reel episodes of The Goon Show in a junk shop. :)

Allegedly announce as the go - on show, when it first aired.

WCMUT, chasing waterfalls in the Brecon Beacons National Park, didnt get many photos as peeing down when near the accessible ones, but had a good time just walking alone in the environment…

Travelling on a local bus, went through a large puddle and water came in through the door, washing almost the entire length.
I had boots so not a problem, did make a few of us passengers laugh

Finding a parking space on the first circuit of our favoured street parking area. Not only that but it was more convenient for me than for Mrs Nod AND she paid!!!

Having just about sorted out my new dual sim phone,
I have discovered that while waiting for my pac code to be applied from the existing sim to the new new one, I can text myself.
Hours of fun (y)

:ROFLMAO:

I can do that with a single SIM phone.

TBH I'd not even thought about it, I was just checking to see how a few things were working and that the signal was good.

TBH, neither had I until you mentioned it!

I tried switching over to Mrs Nod's old Samsung a couple of years ago and got frustrated with the way it kept thinking it knew better than me what I wanted it to do. It almost went through the window!

After spending a couple of hours a day, recently, with my new phone I'm finally coming to grips with it.
And now a USB > USB-C data cable has arrived I can really play :)

Seeing a pair of Little Egrets in the local park, I have not seen one since February when Thames Water were doing lots of work due to sewage leaking into the stream feeding the lake.
The kingfishers have never come back though.

Travelling back from Horsham on the bus, the driver stopped on the side of the road at 11am for 2 minutes :)
Never had that happen before, what a lovely thing to do, although I'm not sure many people realised why, not many wearing poppies either

WCMUT?

After giving Royal Mail, some abuse for playing (silent)knock down ginger,
and just putting a red card through the door ..

I posted something before noon ( yesterday) on Friday, RMSD. (24hrs)
It was explained that it wouldn't arrive till Monday, unless I wanted to pay some extortionate rate for Sat delivery. (I knew that anyway)
I checked the tracking number just out of curiosity this morning, and it had arrived before noon!
So it truly was 24 hours. And I never paid the extra for a Sat delivery.

WCMUT

The item returned by a previous ebay buyer (refunded), made more the second time around, despite quoting the previous (non-buyers) complaints in the description! :)

My repaired/refurbished X-H1 arriving back from Fujifilm's service department at lunchtime.

I received their packaging to send it to them on Thursday, I dropped it off at the local DPD collection point on Friday afternoon, got a text from them on Monday to say they had received it and another text from them yesterday afternoon to say it had been repaired and was awaiting DPD collection.

The enclosed repair information report stated that the sensor had been cleaned and remapped, the firmware updated and the shutter replaced, all work being guaranteed for 12 months.

Sometimes you see a photograph that reminds us why we strive as photographers. Saw this just now.

It is an amazing encounter photograph.....

However, looking up the photographer IMO it seems he took an ill advised & foolhardy risk to get the picture..

oh wow yes he was mad crazy , got out of his car in a zoo safari park place , that’s incredibly stupid as big cats in zoos are not afraid of humans and are very dangerous, in the wild a Lion may well run off if approached by a human

Another source I saw showed the fuller frame and the lion was offset to the RHS of the larger frame. So the embedded image has been much post processed to emphasis the impact and 'threat'.

Edit ~ found it from an ABC news item.....this the image

Though he has quite a cannon of work, frankly his behaviour to 'get this image' is reprehensible not only for the risk he exposed himself to but others that would have been put at risk when attempting to save him should the lion have attacked him! :(

PS neither news article appeared have "called him out" for such behaviour???
