WCMUT....what cheered me up today

Our primary groceries shopping is Sainsbury's and today rather than in store or collect we got it delivered.

The WCMUT surprise was a free gift of a bottle of "Taste the Difference" prosecco ~ what's not to like :)

The amp is a Little Dot Mk2 with a Watford Valves upgrade kit.
I used to have a Graham Slee but I much prefer this one.
The Zen Blue is amazing. I had some doubts about using a bluetooth DAC and when I had it upstairs I did get some brief dropouts. But now, 8ft. from my PC, from which I'm streaming Tidal, it's perfect.

What amp are you using?

Just had a look and looks a great bit of kit, one to look at in the future.

Just moved to Tidal, I was using Amazon as it was £2 a month cheaper with my Prime membership but since they increased the price and I now have the ability to utilise Tidal connect (only had Airplay into the Pi) I have moved. I like Tidal's daily suggestions, and it is less current day orientated unlike Amazon. Im happy with CD quality so not using the MQA options.

Substitution in our online shop today made me chuckle
We ordered beansprouts and got offered brussels sprouts, not so good for a stir fry.

I get your pain Brussel Sprouts, but I'm told they are very good in a stir fry.
 
Got a date for Mrs Nod's Mum's move into the care home (her idea)! Only 10 more days of worry!!!

Suffering from ‘Manflu’ but at least my test was negative, starting to feel better slowly.

The other day a Bagladeshi chap suggested that when I make a curry I should squeeze lemon juice in at the end.
I just made a fiery veg curry and tried it.

Oh my, he was not wrong. Next level.

First day back at the computer since coming down with a chest infection on 30th Dec. Missed New Year, my Grandson's first Birthday, just been too ill to do anything. Saturday was the first proper meal I managed, and this morning I'm feeling much better. The antibiotics must be working.

Funnily enough, we dropped in to Gremlins just as Mrs Deagle took off on hers a couple of nights ago!
 
WCMUT is getting Mrs Nod's Mum installed in the care home and the realisation that we don't have anything easy in the house to eat. Dial-a-curry it is then!!!

WCMUT was the news that Mrs Nod's Mum has settled in very well to her care home. Loves the food, her room (although her view is of the car park at the moment - she wanted to move in ASAP and her permanent room isn't ready for a couple of weeks. The new room will have a view of the gardens rather than the car park!) and seems to get on with the residents she's met so far. HUGE relief to Mrs Nod and myself since although it was her (MiL's) idea to move into a home, we (Mrs Nod and myself) were a little worried that 2nd thoughts might creep in... The estate agent giving us a rough guestimate of about 150k over what MiL thought gives her an extra year or 2 of fees too!
 
I give it a week (at most!) before Loki sits at the opposite end of the rails from the chair meowing until it's sent up/down for him...
 
WCMUT? Spare by 'Arry 'Ewitt being knocked down to 1/2 price in some shops.
