WCMUT....what cheered me up today

I'd rather have seen and heard the 2 Spits than see the Reds go overhead
I ( we ) used to get the full BBMF Not sure why we don't anymore, its now a spitfire or two or a Lancaster, using my road as an outer marker, just about
legal height ( I guess ) and turning and roaring of course

Another thing CMUY - I received the letter telling me that March's MRI came back as "No sign of recurrence of tumour". TBH, I'd forgotten that I hadn't already had the letter and I'm sure that had there been any sign, I would have been called in pronto (after the first one [which showed the tumour], they didn't let me leave the hospital!) Just over a week until my 6th (re)birthday - Mojito with lunch!!! Anyone is welcome to join me at George's beach bar, Ayios Georgios, Nr Ayia Gallini, Crete. I'll even buy the beer!

The gym I go to is situated on the land of what used to be a farm and as I drive along the driveway, I often see a bit of wildlife, ducks, moor hens and Canada geese on or by the small lake, foxes, woodpeckers and now and then the odd grey squirrel. As I left the gym today, I caught movement out of the corner of my eye, I turned to see a red squirrel scurrying around on the lawn in front of the farm house.

Booking tickets to see Tim Minchin next October. :-)

WCMUT?
Eggs! I eat quite a lot of eggs one way or another,
Tesco had a "Special" free range eggs 10p for 6, the reason?
10 days left on the sell by date..
I don't go out of my way to buy free range, they all look a like, and taste pretty similar, but at 40p for 2 dozen,
it'd be rude not to

Sitting in the hide, heard a commotion nearby, looked through the netting and saw my neighbour (of a year now) alone in his garden, giving his plants a right talking to, with hand gestures and finger wagging as well . It's not as if he was quiet about it either:thinking:.

Hilarious.:LOL::LOL::LOL:

Free range eggs do taste much nicer! Best ones are Clarence Court Burford Browns - Waitrose and some Co-ops sell them, Morrisons may do as well. Lovely yolks!

I get eggs from a girl at work who owns a (fruit) farm and keeps a wide variety of truly free range chickens, ducks, geese and Norfolk Black turkeys.
And in fruit season....heaven.

Much prefer chicken eggs.

The only difference I notice, taste or other wise, is the orange / yellow yolk,
and that's easy to produce :D

Always good for a laugh and cheers me up no end, is reading the comments from people trolling a certain car manufacturer's Facebook posts. (No prizes for guessing the manufacturer ;) )
In the comments on one post about a new model, someone remarked, quite seriously, about poor engine reliability and the only example they could give was for a car that ceased production 51yrs ago. :)
Don't these people realise their Facebook friends and family can read their daft cringeworthy comments.
What is better still, the posts don't even get edited out and get left there for others to rip to pieces or I suspect laugh at as I do.

A bit of WCMUT & WAMT

A Red Kite.....flying over, grabbed camera...........shooting away then doh!!!!!

- EC set :( changed to +EC and all being well a few keepers :) fingers crossed. Though not frame filling distance was a delight to see so relatively closer than in the past.

Sitting in a café while Mrs Nod was ordering my lunch and heard a familiar throbbing roar through the double glazing. As I suspected, it was a Spitfire coming down the estuary on a "trip round the bay" type trip . Shortly after the Spit had disappeared as it headed West, a pair of falcons spent a few moments playing in the wind at window level (upstairs caff!). Just to improve the day even more, as we were driving along the sea front before heading home, Mrs Nod spotted the Spitfire on another trip so we pulled over into a handy parking slot and watched/listened to it as it had a brief play before turning East as it left the estuary (Exe). Thought I'd heard a Merlin a couple of days ago - probably did!

Merlin's sound pretty much like peregrines ....

I thought Merlins went more "Abracadabra" than "screetch"...

A lovely sunny outdoor lunch in Lyme Regis. Watching the waves crashing over the Cobb. Decided to keep the roof up on the way home and it was a good decision - rained as we passed Sidmouth.

When my renewal was £515!
Buckingham palace by any chance? :D
I cant remember what I paid now, without looking but it was about the £200 mark +/- a tenner.
And yes, our houses are similar.

they offered a cut down policy for £261!
I generally tell "those" to shove it where the sun don't shine for not offering me their best price in the first place.
Even if they match the answer is the same. They have to do much better ...

Absolutely, they'd have had to have beaten that quote by some way.

I've now moved from singing managers to a nodding dog, oh yes! :D

Mini stollen being back in Lidl. (Probably been in for a while but we've not been in for a month or 2!)

I got the duvet into the duvet cover in one go!!!

No bad language, no throwing it all across the room or breaking into a sweat.

If only I could remember how I did it ....

Sunshine! Top down and heater on. AND I've just thought of an excuse to nip out again for a few miles on my own!!!

After finding my back up HD wasn't working, testing the power adapter and guessing it was dead I ordered a replacement from Amazon which arrived today and whoopee all is good.

Big Red sailing through his MOT with nary an advisory.

Saw this fitted to a gardener's van this morning, and he's even cracked the repair :)

That's not cracked, that's one of those split mirrors so you can see behind as well as cars in your blind spot. ;)
