WCMUT....what cheered me up today

After an unaccustomed 18 holes, I rather enjoyed a nice long bower - an hour soaking my weary bones in a hot bath followed by a nice shower to rinse the Nod soup off!

Swanning into busy car parks that are full but I can use the EV charging bay to park up and charge. Quite often for free too.

One of THESE arriving. Well, being collected after failing to arrive yesterday!

The makings of homemade leek, potato and chestnut mushroom soup now in the slow cooker. :-)
Bread, I'll make this afternoon. :-)

Dial is way too busy for my liking, but each to their own obviously. I did see a nice one of theirs with a dark blue face and nice wide aluminium type strap last week though, but was a smidgen over £700 so had to pass.

I could live without the slide rule on the bezel but the 3 complication dials are handy for the chronometer and signal/battery metering. Got it from First Class Watches since they were cheapest! Made them a slightly cheeky offer and they met me 1/2 way so I weakened. Ended up cheaper than I got the leather strapped version for from a jeweller who was closing down and the bracelet means I'll be happy wearing it snorkelling (the reason I wanted the metal bracelet as well as the leather strap.)

We all know where to go for supper tonight then

Well last night actually. We had a company team building exercise, normally I'm not a fan of those but this was really good fun. We went to the underground cookery school, where we had to cook our dinner together. It was really good fun.

A haircut - a weight off my mind!

Planet Earth 2
OOOoooo thanks for the heads up, Snow leopards, Peregrines and HH, what more could you need? :D

I thought the lioness ( the later one) was being a little ambitious though :D

Exactly what I thought too!! :D

Well yesterday, following a car and seeing clouds of smoking coming out of the window every few minutes, hope driver was vaping :D

Another pretty Monday sunrise - makes getting up early worthwhile!

I moved into my present house, about 50% smaller than the old one, in early December last year and I have never been able to get the lounge furniture arranged in a way that I was really happy with. Had another go yesterday afternoon and got nowhere, tried again this morning and the ideal arrangement suddenly seemed to fall into place. Not only that but I've just realised that it will now be very easy, and quick, to turn it into a portrait studio when I want to. Result :-)

WCMUT: Was just on the car configurator and noticed that the 350d version was launched of the car on order, and I'm really happy it wasn't when I ordered mine as if it was I would have been sensible and gone for the powerful diesel opposed to the mad, but oh so fun petrol AMG version. That was a lucky escape from diesel :)

Popping into the local Ford dealer parts dept to get a price for a new coolant expansion tank, (mine leaked) and leaving with one free of charge!

They did want £120+ to fit it, a job which took me half an hour myself :)

House.
Late to the party with this programme.
Episode "Half Wit" makes me want to take up the piano again. :-)

WCMUT. I decided to buy a fog machine. Have I though this through? No!
With kids and Halloween and Christmas parties coming up, it'll get some use, before putting it away forever when the liquid runs out.
I might even use it for the odd photograph.

A fantastic evening at St Albans Arena seeing UFO in concert. Russian metal band Redscool were pretty good too.
