LOL I never "time" my blades, when they scrape I put a new one in, I doubt that I've got close to that TBH, but what with the price of the damned things, I make them last as long as possible too
Damn right. It was the cost and the rate that I was consuming the things that prompted my experiment.
The fancy-schmancy Mach3 razor has now been binned though, in favour of a simple safety razor and proper razor blades.

New drive almost completed .... finally, ............. I just have to silver sand the blocks in a few days
Just don't do what my MiL did - used a pressure washer to sweep up the excess sand...

I had issues with one of those many years ago, when really it was one of those or a cut throat, (no multi blades when I was growing upin favour of a simple safety razor and proper razor blades.
) No one told me NOT TO unscrew the head by holding it across the width with bare fingers
They were rather sore for a week after

A lovely muddy walk with the borrowadogs, Hector and Murphy, roll on Christmas
I've been for a lovely blustery walk with my neighbours golden lab (owner just had a hip replacement on Tuesday).
Blew away all the cobwebs and made Chester a happy old fella.

I'd better dig that back out as a commercialmas gift to all our viewers...
WCMUT was having a crown fitted. Not a sparkly one with a jewel allegedly stolen from India but a superglued in chewing tool! Even better was the fact that I had paid in full after the preparation appointment so it almost felt like it was free... I was made to feel old though - my dentist is off to the Dominican Republic to celebrate his 30th birthday.
