WCMUT....what cheered me up today

Took the rubbish to the communal bins this afternoon, and found a tenner in the bin. Just hope I did not throw it out earlier :)

More amusement really, flying my gyr x saker after a few months break, due to her moulting feathers in two weeks, rather than the normal 3 or 4 months. she did quite well considering her flight feathers are still only 3/4 grown and 2 are still missing. Braking and steering however was a bit of a challenge, as she dropped 8/10 tail feathers and as yet not bothered to replace them :D
 
Typical female, diving around with defective brakes and steering!!!
 
WCMUT was finishing my course this noon before the rain arrived and before my batteries were completely drained. Feel like crap now but glad I made the effort!
 
My mother is being discharged from hosiptal today - I can go get her in about 30 minutes. some of you my recall (from the crap day thread) tat this time last week she was hospitalised suffering seizures - the diagnosis after testing for everything under the sun is viral infection and stress , so shes out with a nearly clean bill of health.
 
Temperature's dropped to almost normal (whatever that might be!) and I feel vaguely human. Was supposed to be housesitting while the occupant is saying goodbye to her husband ( :( ) but Mrs Nod is doing that on her own and has taken her accounts to pass the time. Had the call that my watch is fixed too so will have to collect that soon.
 
Old job back so despite being in a confined space firing sparks all over myself I am as happy at the perverbial pig

My favourite team in the BTCC getting two wins and a 2nd place yesterday at a lovely sunny and sometimes warm Brands Hatch, that and Jason Plato having the championship stolen from under his nose during the last race.
 
Susie Dent saying "Scrotum.". Easily pleased, me!
 
Oh, and freeing up some shelf and other storage space by doing a recycling centre run (I know how to live, me!)
 
WCMUT is glorious sunshine for my course this afternoon. Chilly but not a cloud visible from where I'm sitting.
 
Getting Dad's watch back, working and not needing a service for 3-4 years according to the watchmaker who did the service/repair. Unfortunately the bracelets they had to fit the watch don't fit me (big wrists and no spare links...) but they hope to get a few more in soon so will give me a ring when one's available.
 
Also discovered that it's less valuable (in monetary terms) than I was told a few years ago so I'll probably wear it more. :)
 
The dentist telling me to come back in 6 months :)
 
Well - I've been seeing him weekly ! AND I have a fear of dentists - a real honest to God FEAR

So for him to say come back in 6 months really means something

Not always - due to shortage of dentists if your dental health is good they might tell you to come back in 12 or even 24 months.
It used to be the case that the standard advice was to see the dentist every 12 months, but they seem to be moving towards a more regular check on those with issues, and less regular for those without.

You mean more or less frequent. Appearances of Halley's Comet are regular too.
 
WCMUT was pulling off a ridiculous trick shot putt on the last hole, right in front of the club house. Gave me a natural par which gave me 4 Stableford points because I'm such a crap golfer! Of course, the other holes annoyed me a little but that final shot made my week!!!
