Lost in translation, JP. Black cab driver could refer to either the colour of the cab or the driver - don't you just love the English language?! ;)
 
Well later anyway, the last local rugby world cup game tonight, no more ( very random) road closures or traffic issues :woot:

And we even got a few roundabouts resurfaced as well. ( they were well over due anyway)
 
Phew. I thought no one was on my wavelength for a while there.

But nobody asked "Don't you mean Ronnie Pickering?" to which I come back with the, now obvious, "who's Ronnie Pickering?"

Oh I know hence I gave the idiot a chance to redeem himself by asking whether he forgot a smiley. Instead dorsetdude does what he does best and just trolls and calls me a racist. It is not on.
 
What cheered me up tonight: despite another night another hotel, the food is absolutely superb. Well beyond my expectations. I arrived late, they were already closing the restaurant, but reopened the kitchen for me and wow. Really nice.

I think it was more a case of it being very quiet and they 'closed' early, and following my long drive to this beautiful town I couldn't bare going out anymore...

I don't care about anyone frowning, it's when that hot soup drips of your spoon you know where. That is not a good moment. :p
 
Breakfast is very good as well. But gosh, it's like a northern geriatric convention. That explains why it is so quiet. Very odd to hear so many northern old screechy voices here in the West Country. Hmm wonder whether I could start a riot and liven up the place by wearing my Baroness Thatcher t shirt :evil:

Never underestimate Northern geriatrics... They may well challenge you to a clog fight and that doesn't do you're shins much good! :eek: :D
 
Getting the Vitesse back I sold to a friend a few years ago. Found the online keeper transfer thingy as well so no faff with sending bits of paper off into the post to be lost.
