WCMUT....what cheered me up today

Don't you just love modern day technology. Amazing what you can track and view live.

How brilliant is that!
It was as I was watching them land last night. They've just left Afganistan airspace and are now over Uzbekistan....

Wait until you get in and find your counter tops have disolved

WCMUT? Mrs Nod needing a dentist appointment. Not because she needed an appointment, more that it meant I could get into town while it was her fault to pick up some high Fluoride toothpaste for myself as well as a lens hood for a 2nd hand lens that didn't come with one. The other thing that cheered me up was that she managed to get an appointment this morning and she's sorted for holiday.

Just don't poo in the sink later. Especially if you haven't washed up yet.

 Shall we just say "don't poo in the sink", and leave it at that? Please?

I'm a bit concerned that it even enters someone's thought process sufficiently to suggest others shouldn't do that. Some people have some strange habits.

yeah exactly - we all know the bath is far more suitable if the toilet is out of action :puke:

No no no no. Anything where the hole isn't big enough for it to flush away without assistance is just wrong. Ah well, maybe I'm the odd one out.

I'm reminded of blackadder (2nd) - The house is fully equipped with outdoor evacuating privys - you mean you crap out of the windows ?

WCMUT: Hearing that another series of Blackadder may be on the cards.

Can you tell us any more, Stewart?

Earlier I cooked kipper fillets in my halogen oven - greased them with a little ghee - 10 mins at 250 and they were superb with a couple of slices of bread and real butter

Wcmut - the house is alive. Lots of laughter, different sorts of music playing, just noise in general. How wonderful. And our dog was super excited as well. Never seen that big boy go on his back legs and wrap both his paws around your had for a cuddle. I'm very happy today.

Ps. Waiting at terminal two it was so funny to see. All these happy faces of people meeting people. And then the faces changed to the look of zombies, quick scan of the tags on the bags and yup that was the flight from down under. Never seen zombies smile before :)

WCMUT: non working air con was due to a simple switch and not something massively expensive and hard to reach.

WCMUY was no Russian flight arriving just before ours - the Russians don't seem to understand a) the concept of queuing or b) the signs in Cyrillic telling them that they must use one particular passport control desk in the terminal then barge their way back through the queue to get to half way along the correct line.

WCMUT was seeing a kingfisher, albeit merely a flash of orange as it went one way then a flash of blue as it went back the other way. 32°C in the shade is quite cheering as well!

Two things -

A woodpecker on the peanut feeder.

Had a go at home made lemon curd. Wow! Just wow.

WCMUT: seeing two hedgehogs on the front lawn. Haven't seen any of them around here for ages.

Can't remember the last time I saw a hedgehog.

Had a weasel run across a path right in front of me the other week.

I see them all too often, poor things are roadkill though, either that or curled up and about to become roadkill.

Why do you feed peanuts? o_O

Two hedgehogs live in my garden.
In a hedgehog house in the bamboo :-)

My daughter bought to my attention to a baby hedgehog one summer, it was in a bit of a bad way so she put some water by the side of it along with a strawberry she had just picked - The hedgehog refreshed it's self and went on its merry way round our garden

I also wrote a short story about a hedgehog for my daughter, which is available on amazon

Whatever itunes affliction happened yesterday has now resolved itself today. I expect it to be on my obituary 'died due to being annoyed by iTunes'

Confirmation email from Amazon that my pond pump has been dispatched.
inextricably the other one died after I posted (above) that I used bathroom cleaner in the kitchen, and the world continued to revolve.

I guess the fish don't share my point of view on that ;)

WCMUT? Buying 3 big tomatoes and a couple of cucumbers which came to €1.20. Stallholder didn't have change for a €2 coin so rounded it down to €1 AND lobbed in an extra cucumber! A couple of rakis after lunch was quite cheering too...

Sounds like your concern was misplaced, the world maybe continuing to revolve but the water pump evidently did not.
